It's the feeling I get when my body collapses onto the prickle of dry grass on a hot day. The feeling I get, held in a fleeting stare, when I see a former lover in passing. Hearing your favorite Beatles song, etc.
It's also the feeling I get whenever listening to The Slackers' frontman and multi-instrumentalist, Vic Ruggiero. Recently, released his latest full-length solo effort (as a one man band) on Ska in the World Records. Songs for Clandestine Lovers spans 10 introspective, bittersweet Vic classics in the folk-rock stylings of a man who speaks love in a Brooklyn accent, a pork pie hat, and endless 4/4 time...Classic.
